Model resources around domain objects

REST APIs commonly expose resources such as /users/42 or /photos/abc. Use HTTP methods to express operations: GET reads, POST creates or processes, PUT replaces, PATCH partially updates, and DELETE removes. Keep the resource contract consistent and document authorization and errors.

An API is a long-lived interface; clients depend on its behavior as well as its URL shape.
